OMG!! Call Guinness, we may have a new world record!! =)

Well, ok, maybe not REALLY, but holy moly, we were surprised when Kealani went potty in her potty seat tonight!! 17 months old?!! Really?! Maybe we WON'T have two kids in diapers like we thought! =) Just a couple of days ago she started randomly coming up to us, "holding herself" and saying "potty" or sometimes even "pee pee". At first I was thinking "yeah right, this is way too early, she must have seen someone do that or something and is just copying them". Then I thought about it and was thinking "what if I'm giving up the easiest opportunity in the world to potty training her and she really DOES know what she's talking about?! -- I guess I would be stupid to not at least TRY to take this a possible opportunity!" So yesterday, the two times she alerted me, I took the time to take her in and take off her pants (which actually she already had half way pulled down for me by the time we got to the bathroom!) and took off her diaper and she sat right down on her potty seat like she knew what she was doing. LOL. Nothing came of it those two times, so I was wondering if this was going to be some sort of game that we were in for, LOL. But tonight, when she told us she had to go (and again was pulling her pants off for us!), Noah took her in and did the ropes. About 10 seconds later, I hear "uh... honey...she went POTTY!" I was like "no way!" Sure enough, her potty was filled with "pee pee". She didn't get scared of it or anything, she just looked at us and smiled, as if saying "I TOLD you I had to go!" =) Then we praised, and praised, and praised some more, before giving her a sticker for her reward (she LOVES her stickers! hehe). We are still in shock that she decided to figure this out all on her own at 17 months! Woo Hoo! Oh, then, as if that weren't enough for the baby book, she counted to 'FIVE' tonight too! We have a genius on our hands, I'm tellin' ya! Haha. Well, I'll stop braggin' for now. Good night! =)

Pregnancy update...

I know I'm slackin' on updating our blog, and I'm so sorry! The reason is that, well, this pregnancy isn't treatin' me as well as I'd hoped. =( I'm basically living the same pregnancy (as when I was very sick and pregnant with Kealani) all over again, PLUS some added complications this time. =( I'm on several nausea medicines to try to help take the edge off, my thyroid is low, I am having to have daily progesterone shots so that I don't miscarry, my potassium is low, I have daily headaches/migraines, and I've already been in the hospital once because I was so dehydrated. That's of course in addition to being SUPER incredibly tired and NO ENERGY AT ALL, to do ANYTHING! Poor Kealani -- it's all I can do some days to feed her and change her diapers. =( I'm hoping that this time it only lasts for the first trimester instead of the entire pregnancy like last time. Prayers would be welcomed! LOL. Our official due date was changed to July 29 (Kealani's was July 27 but she was born on July 14) so they will pretty much be exactly 2 years apart! I am soooooo thankful for my incredible husband. He has been nothing short of amazing through this, always trying to make sure I'm doing OK, getting me anything that might make me more comfortable, taking care of Kealani when he's not at work, doing all the laundry, all the cooking, and then keeping the house pretty much spotless most days. He's such a blessing and I don't know what I would do without him. Well, just wanted to update to let you know the latest and that I'm sorry the updates are few and far between these days. Hope to get better at it soon. =)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Lookin' out the window at the world...

Baby's 1st haircut!!!

I am aware that most of you are thinking "what hair?!!!" since well, she doesn't have very much! LOL. However, it had been brought to my attention several times recently that she was growing "wings"! The sides of her hair grow about 10 times faster than the back of her hair so I guess it was time to make it a little more stylish -- more like the "inverted bob" style like me, but not quite SOOOO distinct looking. =) Believe me, I battled back and forth with this decision as I did NOT want her to look at ALL like a boy -- or give people reason to wonder at all! LOL. I finally gave it and must admit, it does look cuter now. =) Though as you'll see in some of the pics, she was not too fond of the whole hair cutting thing -- until it was over and she could play, of course! hehe.

She sleeps just like her Dad!!!!

... completely sprawled out!!!!!

"Super Why"

Another thing she looks forward to doing every morning while I get ready is watch her educational cartoons. Here she is watching one of her absolute fav's called "Super Why"!

Poor baby... =(

This picture doesn't show it too well, but baby got a boo-boo from running in the house (didn't her mother teach her NOT to run in the house?!) and tripped and hit her eye on the door frame. It swelled and bruised in seconds! =(

Daddy's socks. and boots.

this is how she entertains herself in the morning while I get ready. LOL.

Mommy's slippers.

Shopping! Weeeee!!

SANTA!!!!

"Whoa!!!"

We are PREGNANT!!! Yayyy! =)

We are so excited to share with you that we are growing our family! I'm very early in the pregancy -- figuring about 5 weeks, which would make the due date July 13th (a day before Kealani's 2nd birthday!!). We are still in shock that it took over a year to get pregnant the first time, and this time, only a month! October must just be "our" month! LOL. Prayers that I'm not as sick this time would be much appreciated! =) Well, that's it for now -- just had to share how excited we are!

Photos by Timeless Memories...

we had some new pictures done by marie at timeless memories -- the same person that has been doing out photographs since we were in highschool. =)

Daddy, what did you do to her hair?! LOL..

Halloween

Unlike last year (when she was only a few months old), Kealani really enjoyed Halloween! I think only because she loved being a pink poodle puppy! She "woof'ed" cuter than any puppy you've ever seen. Any all the houses that we trick-or-treated at were VERY impressed with how polite she was by saying "tank you" after each time she was given a piece of candy in her orange "ball" (a.k.a pumpkin candy bucket!).

showin' off that she's a cute puppy!...

look at that cute lil tail!

"ok guys, I'm ready to go!!"
"seriously people... what are we waiting for?!"...

Sammy makes a cute Tinkerbell, don't ya think?!

Kayla and Mya

the poodle and her owner. hehe...

she liked riding in the wagon when her lil legs would get tired of going door to door...

and daddy works just as well as the wagon when her legs are tired! lol...

Mya, Keikilani, Kayla, Wiley, and Kealani (some of the group we were trick-or-treating with)...

Kayla, Keikilani, and Mya...

enjoying some of Auntie Duana's birthday cupcake cake (could she have eaten any MORE sugar that night?! lol)...

makin' a mess...
