She's gettin' there!

Each day Kealani gets more brave about trying to walk on her own. She's a pro at walking if she's holding on to something, and she's been taking two steps here, a step there... for about a week or so, but last night she took 7 steps in a row! Ok, so maybe this is only a big deal for her proud parents that knows she has quite the "big girl" body to move around on those legs of hers! LOL. She does better when she does it without even thinking about it. It's when she tries to prep herself to walk that she gets scared and too unsure of herself. But we predict she'll be walkin' around sooner than later! Our world is about to change and get even harder again! =)

Redecorating the bathroom! LOL!

I walk out of the bathroom for 5 seconds, and this is what I came back to!

"Hi Mom, look! I decorated the bathroom for you, do you like it?!" =)

P.S. In case you couldn't tell by the pictures, Kealani is feeling MUCH better, FINALLY!!! =)

Not "Roseola"?? Ugh...

Well we went back to the doctor today for Kealani and now they are back to not knowing what's wrong with her. Their only guess is an allergic reaction to something but we have no idea what! We haven't changed any soaps or detergents or anything that we can think of. The doctor pointed out that she's a curious baby so she could have gotten into something and we didn't even know it. I don't know, I'm not convinced that it's actually an allergic reaction but I sure have no idea what is wrong either. I guess we just continue to pray for our healthy, happy baby to return soon... VERY soon!!

Poor baby... =(

Our baby girl has been sick, and quite honestly, miserable, since last Friday. =*( We went to the doctor on Friday when it all started and they weren't really sure what was going on. Then we went again on Monday as things had definitely progressed (not in a good way) over the weekend, and they diagnosed her with "roseola" (really high fever for several days, followed by a bad all-over rash, SUPER cranky and miserable, etc.) but told me it should be gone by the end of the day on Tuesday. Well, no such luck! It was WORSE by last night. Talked to the doctor again last night and they want us to come back in this morning to take another look. It has been a VERY rough several days, for all of us! As most of you know, we've been blessed beyond comprehension with such a wonderfully happy baby, which makes it that much harder when she's NOT herself and is miserable and just cries all the time -- we've never had to deal with this side of her really. It also doesn't help matters much that this happens to be going on at the same time that she is going through a gigantic mommy-ONLY phase! She doesn't want to eat (she lost a pound from Friday to Monday -- good thing she's a big healthy girl that can afford to lose that pound and it won't affect her much!), she doesn't sleep much (even with Benedryl!), she just lays there limp and lathargic at times, while other times she perks up but it screaming and crying almost non-stop. =( The night before last, she only slept from 4am-6:30am. Noah was up with her all night last night so I have yet to find out how that went. As all of you Mom's know, it's such a horrible, helpless feeling when your baby doesn't feel good, and they can't even tell you what might help, and you can't do a darn thing about it, but just wait for that day that they start getting back to more like themselves, while drying to keep your calm and your sanity all at the same time. We are longing for that day. Prayers would be good, PLEASE! =)

Hope everyone else is doing better than we are! LOL. Wish we were out enjoying the beautiful sunshine!

She loves to get outside and go for a walk!

BLESSED...

I've been wanting to re-decorate one of our living room walls for quite some time now (since she was about 3 months old - ha!) but knew that my plan would involve Kealani's newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and one-year pictures so I had to wait patiently. Well, the time has come where I could do just that. So... without really a plan in mind when I started, here's what I ended up with. After painting wood letters and picture frames, picking out scrapbook paper for the background of each frame, choosing the pictures, trying to get them all hung straight, etc. here's the finished product, for now anyway... =)

Good morning!

A few pics of our morning "routine"... on days that we actually have one (when we are not SUPER DUPER busy and out the door too early! LOL!). Kealani gets up for the day around 9am-9:30am. She then sits on the couch next time me, watching her cartoons, while I check my email and our calendar for the day. Then she plays for a little while (and I do mean LITTLE while because she is anything but independent -- she has to be RIGHT next to me getting into whatever I'M doing!), before eating breakfast (she's not a "eat right when I wake up" kind of a girl. She must take after her mama!). We then get dressed and ready to go about our day!

"mornin' mama!"

layin' on the couch watchin' cartoons...

silly girl...

watchin' mommy on the computer...

CHEESE! =)

wavin' at the camera!

More football!

Since we just can't seem to get enough football in our lives, we thought we'd share! =)

Look at that sexy #70! I'm thinkin' he's excited for the game! LOL...

Funny face!

Apparently this is what he teaches her when I'm gone...

and somehow they convince me to join in the fun!

and I just had to throw this one in of Kealani sleepin' so comfy on Uncle Paoa... I guess funny faces really make ya tired!...

She loves the baby back-pack!

So most people know that I love to go yard saling (maybe a mild obsession??!!), well here's one of our newest finds that Kealani is quite pleased about! Anyone who doesn't have one, should get one! LOL.
