Very sick baby girl... =(

As most of you already heard, our Kealani was VERY sick for about a week recently. =( It started off as what we thought was a stomach flu (throwing up, high fever, etc.) Well, after about 4 days of not getting any better, and in fact worse, and her 103.6 fever STILL not breaking, and a talk to the on-call doctor in the middle of the night, we ended up at the hospital. To make a long story short, she had/has a urinary tract infection AND a bad kidney infection. =( It took several more trips to the hospital and doctor to get the right meds figured out, shots given, tests taken, etc. to start getting "our" sweet baby girl back. I never want to see her that sick again -- it was awful! She is still on meds for a few more days, and has some appointments this week at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital to do further tests, etc. but we hope the worst is over. Here is the only picture I took while she was sick. Was trying to capture how red her face was from her fever but picture really doesn't show very well. The crazy hair is from cool washcloths being on her head and making for a great hair do! =)
